We’ve all seen them, the videos our friends post on Facebook that keep playing over and over and over and over every time we scroll past them. While the video of the foxes on the trampoline might be cute the first half dozen times, after a while it gets really old. And if you are on mobile data it gets really expensive. Well, FINALLY there is a way to stop the autorun of videos on Facebook for mobile and desktops.
How to Turn off Autorun on Facebook Videos on a Computer
At the upper right of your Facebook screen, click the small down arrow and a dropdown box will appear.
Scroll down and click on the Settings option.
On the left side of your screen, scroll down and click on the Videos option.
On the right side of your screen, click on the On option that has a small arrow next to it.
From the drop down box select Off. Videos will no longer autorun and you may return to your main Facebook timeline.
How to Turn off Autorun on Facebook Videos on a Mobile Phone or Tablet
Access the settings feature of your phone where application settings are stored.
Tap the Facebook icon.
Tap the AutoPlay option.
Tap off, of if you like autoplay but can’t afford the mobile data usage, tap the WiFi option to only allow autoplay when your phone or tablet is connected to WiFi.
